Clever freelancer in Minneapolis finds combo of Wi-Fi, coffeeshop, and co-working: If life gives you 2% milk, make cream, apparently. A Minneapolis entrepreneur suggested to Crema Cafe’s owner that she turn her shop into a co-working location–a place where people in unrelated, typically one-person businesses work together–one day a week. The cafe is closed on weekdays in the winter. With $40 paying for four Tuesdays, Cream’s Carrie Gustafson will fire up the lights, heat, and Wi-Fi, and provide coffee and tea on an honor system.

90% of success is showing up. – Woody Allen This is oft repeated as an entrepreneur mantra.  And, yes – you need to show up, but you also need to show up with something. We all know them: The gung-ho board member of a nonprofit, who – if he actually does show up – comes late and unprepared, albeit still gung ho! (And, never actually seems to do any of those great things he talks about.) The excited new entrepreneur who feverishly works the room at seemingly every event in town…forces you to take her biz card (for the 12th time)…yet never seems to have any business.

by James Scott If you’re an entrepreneur involved in the real estate investment industry there is no doubt that a majority of investors are currently lacking one thing, cash. Banks have a surplus of foreclosed real estate , hedge funds are shriveling up and dying in record numbers, rehab lenders are now making it more difficult to borrow than ever so if you make a living off of investing in real estate or rehabbing and flipping houses where can you get the cash to continue doing what you love? The answer comes in three little words “Private Placement Memorandum”.

Entrepreneurs Have a never, Ever Give Up Attitude

One thing entrepreneurs have in common is the ability not to be stopped by problems, but to turn their problems into opportunities. Where other people get stuck in problems, entrepreneurs bounce back with new answers seeing a different way forward.

I once read an article on entrepreneurs in a South African magazine. The author explained some of the characteristics of an entrepreneur and then he relates a story told to him by an entrepreneur who was asked, “What makes entrepreneurs different than the rest of us?”

“Well”, the entrepreneur said,”when I think of entrepreneurs I think of a spider. I once saw a spider spinning his web. He would take a thread – stick it to one side and then walk with it to the other side of where he would like to make his web.

“When he came to the other side the thread broke and the spider had to walk back to the place where he first stuck his thread. He then stuck his thread to the place where it broke off and started walking back to where he wanted to stick the thread. And then, the same thing happened again. The thread broke. The spider went back to the same spot and stuck his thread back again from where it broke, just to start his journey all over again.

The Mindset of Entrepreneurs and Home Business

What makes a successful entrepreneur? There are many factors that help in making an entrepreneur like qualities, education, skills, and many others. There is however one thing that you shouldn’t disregard if you want to become a victorious entrepreneur. Mindset plays a very important role in the success of businesspeople.
As an entrepreneur, you should investigate further by gathering as much information as possible about the business ideas. True enough, franchise is absolutely a great idea. By choosing this business alternative, you can be the boss of your own business and you can earn unlimited income.
Not all individuals who desire to own a business can achieve this goal. You see, being an entrepreneur is hard. There are a lot of factors to consider before you decide to become an entrepreneur. Even if you have the capital to finance the business undertaking, you can’t be sure that it can give you high profits in the future especially if you don’t know how to handle certain business situations.
For the smart entrepreneurs, they will already go for franchising because it requires less work. An established business undertaking is less expensive and less risky. But before you make a final decision, you must be able to weigh all the advantages as well as disadvantages. This is an essential part of choosing the best business idea.
Once you’ve chosen the right business idea, you can spring it into action. Soon enough, you will gain the financial benefits that you’re dreaming of. Whether you choose to start your own business or go for franchising, the most important thing is to develop goodwill. All the actions of the entrepreneur must be focused in attaining all the objectives of the business.
If you want to become an entrepreneur, you must research all the business ideas that you can get online. The internet can help you a lot. Also, don’t forget to develop the needed traits and skills as an entrepreneur.
– Energetic and willing to do whatever it takes to reach to the finish line. His drive must always be at its highest level for being an entrepreneur would make you work overtime. His enthusiasm must prevail the next best thing.
– Creativity and is thinking outside the box. Expanding one’s mind of what is beyond the ordinary through fine research and collection of data.
Everything does not end in thinking alone. If you simply think and think, you will not achieve anything. But if you think and act, you will certainly reach the peak of success. Action is truly needed to put all your thoughts to action. You must be able to come up with well-intentioned objectives and your actions should be focused.

Successful Entrepreneurs are Doers – not Dreamers – Too Many Inventors are Confused About the Difference

For many years I felt that if you scratched any American you were scratching an entrepreneur. This is the country where entrepreneurial activity is most possible and seemingly every citizen has an idea with commercial potential. Sadly, over time, I realized I was wrong. If you scratch most Americans you are most likely scratching a dreamer.

The difference between a dreamer and a doer is profound. Successful entrepreneurs might have initially dreamt of success, but they will not stop there. The drive to accomplish necessary tasks to insure successful outcomes separates them from the dreamy class, which includes most people. Success is a goal that requires drive, determination, courage, fearlessness, planning, discipline, sacrifice and passion. It is not easy, or everyone would be successful.

What makes one opportunity succeed while another, even more promising idea, fails? It always comes down to the individual and their makeup. A few no’s and the dreamer folds their tent. The successful entrepreneur recognizes no as a hurdle, not a deal closer. The opportunity to overcome the objection represented by the word no is an absolute necessity for any individual seeking success as an entrepreneur.
