Due to the housing slow down of 2008 and the ensuing economic recession the Home Security industry has been in somewhat of an odd position. During this time the industry has seen a sharp decline in business due to the slumping home sales.
Since the late 1990’s when new home builders started pre-wiring many homes for security alarm systems. Many consumers were moving into new homes that had fully functional alarm systems that only needed an alarm company to come in to program and monitor the alarm system.

To be successful in your business and to be acknowledged as a successful small business entrepreneur, you have to adopt certain strategies that will enable you to outsmart your competitors and beat them. 1. Go Shopping Yourself:
If you are a manufacturer of certain products, you should go shopping yourself at least once a fortnight. By doing this you will be able to see how and where these products are being displayed, the price at which your competitors are selling their products and the type of packaging used. In fact purchasing of your competitors products on regular basis, testing them and comparing them with your products will be a very useful and productive exercise.2. The neurotic will point out that the complete collapse of world economics is the least of our problems as weâre all going to be blown up by terrorists in any case. Of course if that doomsday scenario doesnât hold true then the storms, tsunamis, droughts, plagues or famines that weâre all promised will certainly get you.
