What Are The Best Homebased Businesses For A Stay-at-home Mother Of Two?

I am a mother of two children that has tried everything as far as creating a second income in our home. I have done get paid to surveys and emails (takes to long, not enough money), I’ve tried ebay, blogging (not enough traffic), mystery shopping, selling my handmade jewelry online and affiliate programs. Nothing seems to bring in a substantial amount of income for me. I don’t want to return to the work force because I prefer to stay home with my children and childcare is way to expensive and I don’t want to risk going to prison if someone does something to my children (I’m serious about that). I have a very strong entreprenuer spirit and believe that I can do very well at home making money, I’ve just got to find the right outlet. I would like serious business minded suggestions please.

What Is The Best Major For An Undergraduate Student Who Wants To Become An Entrepreneur?

Posted by Ken Longbridge | Posted in Entrepreneur Q&A | Posted on 23-07-2009

I am a freshman undergraduate student at Winston Salem State and am not exactly sure what I should major in. I am thinking about majoring in economics, but it is also a goal of mine to one day own my own business. I don’t know what exactly it would be, or in which field, but it is something I would like to do if I get the chance. So, what major can set me up for a career in the corporate world (if it doesn’t work out) and my goal of being an entrepreneur: economics, management, entrepreneurship, or some other business major?
I should also mention that I’m a big sports fan and wouldn’t mind owning a business or having a job dealing with or related to sports (basketball, football mostly)
(I’m not saying I’m going to become an entrepreneur, but would just like to now which degree gives me skills I could use in a regular job, and in starting and running my own business)
