People Still Fail Even When Presented With Opportunities to Make Money

It is almost an established fact that more than 80% of all ?stresses? we face in life are money related. It is true that having money does not solve all problems, but then again, the truth of the matter is that having money does increase one?s options in as far as problem solving is concerned.

It is also true that having money or not having money can often make great difference in life: sometimes even the difference between continuing to live (and enjoying all that life has offer) and having to die. Indeed, there are many people who are dead today, who would probably still be alive if only they had just a little money.

Obviously, there is need to make money; when you take into consideration that having a little more money would solve at least some of the problems in your life, and that having or not having money can at times make the difference between continuing to live and ceasing to live.

Now one of the reasons given by people who face financial difficulties is that they have no opportunities to make money. It seems to be a valid enough argument, really, especially when you look at the indisputable fact that people living in countries where there are more opportunities to make money typically tend to lead much more comfortable lives than people living in areas where the opportunities to make money are much more limited.

Yet the most amazing thing about quite a good number of these people, normal people who really know the importance of money and who would do almost anything to make money, is that they often fail to take full advantage of some great money-making opportunities that come their way, often leading to perpetual financial struggle in face of fortune-changing opportunities! How come, one may ask.

Well, one reason financially struggling people fail to take advantage of the money making opportunities that come their way to change their fortunes is fear of the power inherent in money ? seeing that money (in this day and age) bestows a lot of power on the person who happens to get it, and many of us tend to ? subconsciously – prefer powerlessness to having power, mainly as result of our upbringing (which also explains why many of us would rather rant about politicians, rather than toss ourselves into the political arena and make a difference there).

Another reason why people who have been struggling all their lives to make money fail to do so – even when faced with the perfect money making opportunities – is because many of us have been conditioned to believe that we are ?poor? (as if poverty and prosperity are inborn conditions) ? and given that we tend to act in line with our beliefs about ourselves, it would only be reasonable that we would tend to fail to seize the great opportunities to make money that come our way, because doing so would mean our stopping to be poor, and for a person who believes they were born poor, such a prospect would mean relinquishing a part of themselves; which is obviously a very painful prospect.
