So you’re a student inside a college and you’ve acquired Twitter like everyone else in this social networking development. However, Twitter is a lot different than Facebook or perhaps LinkedIn.

It’s more of a barbecue-type environment between professionals. and in fact, I didn’t believe it as well, that was until My spouse and i secured a very attractive internship in my field previous summer because of Twitter. How do we use Twitter to succeed professionally? Simple, start with these three standard steps, and broaden accordingly.

1.) Start off searching for and pursuing twitter accounts that will post internships and work opportunities. Both in your ideal field, and standard ones as well. You’ll find that Internship Queen in fact has a ton of internships posted, along with tricks for finding ones.

2.) Search for and follow twitterers by respected users of that field, and also companies, and organization groups. For example, in case you’re interested in PR jobs, follow local PRSSA organizations, follow PRSAJobCenter, follow people you recognize that are PR Authorities.

3.) Clean up your current twitter, no more “Going off out to the ____ bar tonight, Bash!”. Make it professional. Commence posting interesting articles that you just find online, and also ADD YOUR OWN Awareness TO THEM. Retweet interesting articles the professionals you follow, publish or add your personal insight to them. The principle issue of importance this is to INTERACT with a PROFESSIONAL LEVEL with these folks you now follow. Keep in mind, these people are full of contacts, and that is what Twitter is all about! Try to make real connections with these men and women.

Perhaps try utilizing Tweet Adder or a few other social marketing tools to handle the process of following and save you time.

Retain that in mind and you ought to discover that you can steadily build serious contacts with people that will can help a person in your educational path and really should serve to advantage you for many years to come as a level of reference. All the best . then.

Find a new social media marketing strategy through material from my Web site Get more info on Tweet Adder including a review and Tweet Adder coupon code.

“Congrats ma’am. It’s a commercial real estate developer”, I used to joke in a joking fashion, that the maternity medical staff must have told my dear late mother after giving birth to me.

I was the oldest male child in a third generation thriving real estate business in the Deep South. As it turned out, after trying it for four years in my early adulthood, real estate was not for me and I later discovered that big market media and public relations in wasn’t either.

A survival of the fittest environment of any type was not my thing. It took a major coronary to figure it out, but as they say it takes what it takes’. I was forced into early retirement…or so they thought.

The year 2001
I pinched my skin to discover I was still alive and having been the active person I perceived myself to be, started getting busy. Step one was to learn golf. That lasted about a month. One might think that since I grew up near Tiger Wood, perhaps by osmosis some of his golfing genius might have rubbed off. That was not the case. I spent more time in sand traps, pine tree-filled woods and shallow lakes than on the green grass. Mark Twain had been right. Golfing was a good walk gone bad.

I struggled seventeen years in the corporate world, and the longer I was there, the more I realized it was creating a sort of imbalance between who I really was, and what I was truly becoming. I did not like who or what I was becoming, that is, a person willing to give up my real friends in pursuit of keeping the bottom line black, and basically sell my soul all the while, growing tired of even the highest paying positions; some of them others would have run over me to sit in my corner office chair.

I remember one day sitting down with a piece of paper and writing out what an ideal life would be for me. I had read in a self-help book that the process of writing a dream or goal onto paper was/is actually the first step of action; that is bringing it from the subconscious into the universe. It sounded a little hokey to me but I was willing to do anything to have a life that made sense to me with at least some semblance of happiness.

The changes I had to make were made, but they came very slowly and not all at once. I found supportive friends and that meant having to let go of some old baggage; which at times, meant old friends as well.

I was determined at mid-life to have at least some happy years. In a little over a decade, one thing led to another.

Today I work at home, sometimes in my jammies if I wish. I work next to the one I love, my finance’ Lee. We run an SEO (search engine optimization) firm that is unique in that it offers not only organic SEO, but custom Twitter profiles and organic optimization for ones website or blog.

Google suddenly ranked
Yes, Google suddenly ranked my offbeat cartoon number one where it has stayed since 2005. I have launched at least ten E-stores full of funny gifts and collectibles bearing my cartoon images from tees to mugs and more. I closed a few that weren’t making money.

About half stayed open, but that was okay as I considered them an experiment anyway. I founded, design and create the world’s only famous love quote shoes that Keds manufacture for me. I have become the designer for Mariel Hemingway licensed image gifts and collectibles and she is a pleasure with which to work. All of these things have happened from the comfort of my own living room. Not a bad deal for a guy who thought he might spend the rest of a short life chasing golf balls in the woods.

Lee and I have met many amazing people through the Twitter network. I became officially adopted by someone I had always admired greatly, Kathy Ireland as her brother, and it is a closer kinship than any I’ve had with any of my blood siblings.

We talk, we laugh, and we tell stories and have fun. She is truly a decent wonderful kind soul. She is like a prayer answered as I always wanted a sister with whom I could communicate. Now it has come to be. She has another adopted brother Jon, and Jon and I are the brothers Kathy says she never had (she was raised with sisters but never had a brother). She is probably tougher than the two of us put together, but nicer than the day is long. She could cheer up Attilla The Hun.

Most importantly, also on Twitter, I met the love of my life. I met Lee of whom I had waited 54 years to meet. I had had several opportunities for marriage, and both did not pan out, I am sure now for a reason.

If either of them had, I would never have met Lee, and nothing and nobody in the world means more to me than Lee and my love relationship with her. We work together. We love our work and we work hard at it. We wear many hats. Lee is a graphic designer but she is also the love advice columnist at the Herald de Paris.

She did not know SEO when we started our SEO firm, but now knows it as well as any guru (we don’t use that word as we don’t believe it exists) of whom I’ve read their writings. Working with Lee is always a pleasure and feels more like fun than play. It reconfirms that Everything I ever needed to know, I really did learn in Kindergarten.

Though we work in a very complex business and world, we keep things very simple, and treat each other (and our clients) the way we wish to be treated. Our love grows stronger every day. As my friends remind me, I am a very lucky man. I love my work, and I love working with my lover.

Social Networking is the grouping of people into certain categories from social to business groups. Most of the time social networking is noticed at schools wit gatherings and such, but the most common place for it is online. The way people communicate to get there points across and to make new social groups.

This is so because online there are so many people that want to communicate with different types of people that although they are not in your community they still want to interact and become more social. Some examples of social networking sites would include Twitter and MySpace.

It is a way to get in touch with those people you wouldn’t normally communicate with. It’s a way to get in touch with the community or like-minded people around you that can help you grow socially. It was made so that people could get their point across faster and communicating with someone much quicker.

Posting ideas and blogging information about your business is a big part of social networking with the community. To express ones ideas is always helpful for a business especially when it is feed back from a client or customer.

It is a good way to use social networking and it can benefit the business in millions of ways. When twitter is used for more personal use, people tend to use it to get the latest trend or to receive the latest updates.

No matter what twitter is used for, its main purpose is to help people communicate a lot faster then they already do. Twitter is commonly compared to MySpace and Facebook as well as LiveJournal.

There are over 84 million Gen Yers (or Millennial) in the population, according to 2000 Census Data. Millennial are member of the generation of children who were born between the years 1977 and 1994. One quarter of the US population is part of this generation. This group is poised to make up the bulk of the overall US population within the next 20 years. This generation is a diverse group with 1 in 3 non-Caucasian and 1 in 4 from a single parent home.

Millennial are just waiting for the market to stabilize before they begin their house purchases. The stage is already set for them. National studies from 2007, indicate that three quarters of the home buyers were between 18 and 24 years old, falling into this group. They are looking for stability, home buying agents they can trust, and a fair price.

Millennial want data, but they also want to work collaboratively to reach their goal of home ownership. They are computer savvy, knowing and expecting that more information is just a click away. They also know, as should you, that the competition is only a click away as well.

So, real estate agents and investors need to be ready to be a part of a team, and be ready to provide easy to access information for this new plugged in buyer. In addition, these buyers are technology experts and want contact any time of day or night via texting, IMing, blogging, or email. Instant messaging is the preferred form of communication, with 68% or more opting for cell phone texting.

This means home buying is going to move to a new level of real time. Homes will not be shopped for days by buyers who want to be driven around until they fall in love with their new home. Instead, the Gen Yers will have all of their facts available online and will make the home buying decision swiftly after they are well informed.

Social networking is ultimately about conversations. You as the real estate agent and investor will need to master the social networking skills that are very important to your potential customers. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, My Space, FriendFeed, ActiveRain, are some of many tools focused on facilitating conversations.

Social networking is reaching astonishing levels of participation. Some web site examples: ActiveRain – This is the hotspot for real estate professionals to learn from each other. LinkedIn – 25 million experienced professionals, a marriage of an interactive resume and your address book, promoting yourself, your properties, or reviewing others. Facebook – 100 million active subscribers with 30 million photos uploaded daily. The numbers are staggering and speak for themselves. Social networking is important!

With this new set of rules and capabilities, houses will move quicker and with less emotion. This creates a new level of competition that the “boomers” will have to figure out when the market heats up.

Have you taken the challenge of trying to use social media to sell a product or promote a business? If so you can probably relate to me when I say it is not as easy as online marketers make it out to be and you probably got a series of ugly tweets or messages from your social media com padres, upset that you where trying to use social media to make a buck.

I recently tried to promote an offer to my Social Media networks and the response was awful. Not only did I not sell a thing but I got so many nasty messages back that it was ridiculous. So Much for trying to make a little extra money on the side.

If you are apart of a social network and you are not trying to make money or gain traffic to your business or website then I think you are wasting precious time that you could be using else where to change you life and build your future.

Honestly if you don’t make money from social networking why do it? Is it not the point of networking to increase business whether it is from one contact or a contact of that contact….. hopefully that was not to confusing.

I gave up using any social media networks after the terrible experience trying to promote my real estate website and drive a little traffic to it with my social media network contacts. Honestly I was a little embarrassed to continue to try to use something that worked so poorly at first.

I was using twitter and facebook to try and gain traffic to my website because I read that you could build a huge buyers list by using social media. It did not work for me like I planned.

I had basically totally given up trying to use social media for traffic generation to my website until I came across a report that was called something like how not to piss everyone in your social network off and still make money by Ryan Deiss and Perry Belcher. After reading the free report I realized I made some huge mistakes on my first attempt.

You can see the links on this article to find where to go and get your own copy of the social media report which is very good and I think will change the way I do business for sure. I know that I am rethinking some of my strategies right now because of this report.

I don’t want to get in trouble for copying Perry Belcher’s info and acting like it is mine so instead of stealing his info which is part of his new course called the Social Media Money System just go take a look for yourself. The Report is free and worth the time to down load it and read it.

At the very least it has given me a new view of Social Media and I am in the process of trying again to get some traffic from Social media networks that I am involved in and hopefully this time it will work.

If you have been using Twitter or Facebook for any amount of time I am sure you have thought to yourself, if only there was a way to generate income from all of the followers that I have. Or perhaps you may have said to yourself .. Is there a way that I could find out what my followers are actually looking for?

A real social media money system would be really valuable to those of us trying to earn a living in the Internet marketing industry. I have a few methods that we have been using to generate money from Twitter and Facebook that Id like to tell you about them.

1. Optimize Your Twitter Background: Make sure your background represents who you are and use your description in your profile to your full benefit. Most importantly make sure the link in your profile points to a landing page that DOES NOT SELL! You landing page should be or fun.

2. Offer Something They May Find Useful: When a visitor comes to your page make sure somewhere in the top right corner of the page that you have some form of opt-in on the page that will allow you to capture the email addresses of those who might be interested in what you are offering

3. Have Visible Calls To Action: Nobody is going to do anything if you dont ask them to. Make it strongly visible and impactful but yet make it seamless with the way your page is designed. Dont bombard your visitors with sales messages

4. Have a good CRM or autoresponder set-up to send your drip marketing campaign featuring your product to your visitors.

Once you understand the mechanics of this then its time to kick it up a notch. You need to have a a really good automated program that will allow you to simply set it and forget it.
