How much time do you spend repeating the same tasks like answering the same questions about your products and services, or following up with prospective customers or existing customers about upcoming promotions and special discounts?

If you are a hands on business owner like me, you probably spend a great deal of time on these things. I was in fact spending too much time on these things and hurting profits.

Everybody knows the phrase “time is money and money is time.” This is the reason I had to quickly learn how and where to spend time to grow my business. I’ve encountered some business owners that spend a lot of money in addition to spending too much time.

If you are one of many business owners hemorrhaging both time and cash, you will be happy to understand that what I’m about to share with you will save your business time and a ton of money.

So what’s the solution? My Video Talk Video Email!

This is by far one of the most under used tools that can reinvent the way that you do business. You can use it to semi automate many of your daily time sucking actions.

I want you to think about this… How many times every day does your customer-base check their email? Something else to take into consideration is the fact that many of your customers are probably using “smart phones” that enable them to receive instant messages alerting them to check their in-box. As a business owner it just makes sense to include this to your promoting funnel immediately.

So how can you use My Video Talk Video Email in your favor?

1) You can send your own prerecorded commercials at predetermined scheduled times to potential customers.

2) You offer a more engaging customer service experience by sending recorded answers to the most frequently asked questions about your products and services. How impressed will your customers be if you responded to their questions with a video?

3) You can mail recordings about upcoming promotions and events to encourage your buyers to take full advantage of special offers.

These are just a few ideas of how you can use this tactic.

Many doctors and even dentists have begun using My Video Talk to wow their patients in the following ways:

1. A welcome email thanking patients for picking their practice following a first visit to add a nice personal touch. This is a fantastic way for doctors to make a lasting impression while distinguishing themselves from other doctors.

2. Every video email is an opportunity to include the office hours and phone number for future appointments. This provides patients with easy access to book future appointments.

3. Increase engagement and keep patients informed. For example, sending a video email of updates, recalls, and new drug treatment options available for patients using a particular prescription.

4. Make sure patients schedule appointments with a video email reminder when they are due for a follow up visit and remind them to return.

5. Patient testimonial video emails boost confidence, credibility, and referrals.

6. Launching upcoming clinical studies, workshops, seminars, specials, events, new office openings etc…

7. Confirming of appointments.

Take into consideration all of the ways video email will help your business.

Many entrepreneurs are running business successfully because of the key attributes that help them in their success. When most successful entrepreneurs are asked about their secrets of success they would almost always note their attitude. There is not necessarily a secret except to have positive attitude to get business done. The idea of business has altered in definition and in stages over the years.

With the help of advanced technology, we are relishing these days. The internet is a vital tool and technology and is all around us. Computers and Internet provides us freedom to create email and web services or web pages. The telephone systems have also shown great improvement, it has changed to become more efficient. As a matter of fact, these days, there is very wide use of fax, voice mail and cell phones.

Sponsor Ad
If you want to have a rewarding career in business, getting a degree organizational leadership could help you become more confident and convincing for all your future business plans.

These technologies prove to beneficial and are essential tools which keep the flow of business smooth. But the positive mindset of a person are important factors which cannot be ignored or replaced. This positivity is contagious and can carry any business over the long-term.

Those who are jumping into the entrepreneurial world must note these points. New entrepreneurs need to be clear of their goals. One must set their goals at very initial stage of starting a business. In the early age a beginner must be dedicated to discipline and providing education that supports their future goals. Investing in personal development and skill sets can help strengthen these positive traits. Those who cannot afford to buy something through should find a mentor in the industry to follow.

Decision making rests in hand of a entrepreneur so he or she should understand that they are the one in control. Once they are set with goals, a beginner can expect to struggle and learn the technique of organization, discipline, and risk taking. Those who are entering in the field of entrepreneurship should evaluate his or her strengths and weaknesses. A person must not be over-confident with their own capabilities.

Entrepreneurs should have skills for recognizing many different opportunities as they arise. New comers and veterans must continue to search for opportune moments and ideas that will work in today’s competitive marketplace. Once you get the opportunity and have found it, you should jump into it and grab the bull by the horns to get best of it. There is usually competition found in business it is almost inevitable. But the victor is determine by who has the most perseverance to achieve their goals goals.

Entrepreneurs should know effectively to deal with and have general knowledge of things including finance and budget. They should be able to control outflow and inflow of finances. If you want to have fun in any enterprise it is important for a successful entrepreneur to understand that endurance and growth is the key. Entrepreneurs are aware of the need to use leverage and get help when needed. There is no “Superman” who does not need help from others. If you want to be happy in business, learn to do; then, teach others to do for you. The ultimate goal is to make your money work for you instead of micromanaging everything.

Finally want to discover more about this topic and getting Steve Irving?
The Dream Job Of Working For Yourself: How To Turn A Hobby Into Your Own Online Business

The Dream Job Of Working For Yourself: How To Turn A Hobby Into Your Own Online Business

We want to start our own online business to be financially comfortable to the point where we do not need to worry about where our next paycheck is coming from. It is no wonder that with the perfect lifestyle, all of us want the perfect job. We want the ability to say, “Yes” to all purchases and we want the satisfaction that we can do whatever we want.

What We Hate About Working For Others

There are so many aspects of working for someone else that drives every hard worker to dream of having their own Online Marketing Business. The frustration usually builds making us desperate for another job.

Figure Out What You Hate About Employment With Others

Without a proper foundation that is well developed, (through figuring out what you liked and didn’t like about an already formed Internet Marketing Business), your Internet Marketing Business will surely fail; especially if you do not take the time to reflect on what you did not like in past jobs or companies. Through figuring out the various aspects of why you liked your job, you will be able to take this information and incorporate it into your future Internet Marketing Business. By assessing your job in a logical fashion, you need to ask yourself a series of questions. For example, perhaps you loved working with people, or perhaps you found that you loved customer service. Analyzing what you hate about the job is crucial.

Writing Your Online Marketing Business Plan

The last section discussed how to look at the job, career, or company you worked for and how to organize your thoughts about it logically so you could learn to come up with a clear plan of what you liked and disliked about your job, career or company. Through channeling ideas about what you hated at your last job, to focusing on a time line and other Internet Marketing Business aspects, you can start the preliminary stages of planning to help you turn your hobby into a profit. This section will discuss writing a Internet Marketing Business plan that will help you take your hobby making it a profitable Internet Marketing Business.

What Is Your Hobby? Figure Out What You Want To Do For Profit.

This is why it is important to first create a foundation for a Internet Marketing Business that can help you sustain a hobby and market it to the general public. The idea of this section is to help you focus on one specific aspect of a hobby and mold it into a profitable Internet Marketing Business. Usually, this is too general for people when they want to turn their hobby into a profitable Internet Marketing Business.

Look At Similar Internet Marketing Businesses Get Ideas.

Conducting research on your competition or similar Internet Marketing Businesses before you finally open your Internet Marketing Business is an absolute must. The first, and for most, easiest way to conduct research is from home or a local library with the use of the internet. You may need to visit Internet Marketing Businesses to get an idea of how they conduct their company. Visiting the owners of Internet Marketing Businesses has proven to be quite helpful to many people who are looking to turn a hobby into a profitable Internet Marketing Business. Look at what their products are and how they market it. Many Internet Marketing Business owners are happy to discuss this, so this very well may prove to be quite valuable to the start of your Internet Marketing Business.

Finalize Your Online Marketing Business Plan. What Needs To Happen Next:Legally, Education, And Financially.

If you find that you need to borrow money in a small Internet Marketing Business loan arrangement, know that it is suggested that you research your different options as well to incorporate this into your plan. While you are looking at the legal and educational aspects of your Internet Marketing Business, you should also be thinking about and deciding what type of equipment you will need for your Internet Marketing Business.

Educate Yourself In Sales.. . Very Important

Understanding the art of sales will help make your Online Marketing Business a success. Of course, some times products are so great they will sell themselves. Some entrepreneurs will learn sales from a job in sales. Ask them if you can accompany them on one of their sales calls.

Create. Design. What Works With Your Online Marketing Business Model?

Constant analysis of your business will help keep it on solid footing until it starts to become successful and profitable..

Rinse And Repeat

These people simply decided to create an identical Online Marketing Business to improve the sales for the organization. It won’t take you a lot of extra effort to develop another identical Online Marketing Business, but it will allow for you to earn more money doing what you love to do.

30 years ago, it was difficult to spot or hear of a business woman in many countries. They were relegated to the menials of household and had no say in affairs of trade, economic or anything that came with the tag of ‘Thinking’ with it. Humanity has shunned these practices of bias and is now in a phase which recognizes women as equals (though not without some heart burn). Constituting 80% of the consumer market, they simply can’t be left out.

Women have evolved traits that have put them on the comeback course. They are considered better learners and task masters. That is not saying that men don’t have these abilities. It is simply more evident in a woman and it is always there. It can’t burn out if you got to come from behind to win the race.

Leading a balanced life is very important for women. The onus of family welfare is largely on them and they have not shrugged it off. Despite their induction into the business world, they have remained committed to their families. Many women are successful in their business and lead lifestyles which are worth imitable.

There can be no barriers in the business women’s path anymore. She can go about establishing her business and also obtain sound backing from many institutions. Most small businesses are run by women and are huge contributors to the economy of every country.

The recent economic recession that hit the world has questioned the male wisdom. Since many bankers responsible for the crisis were men, there are debates raging if the blame has to land squarely on men and hence should there be a complete role reversal. While this might be far fetched, it is not completely false either and the idea is worth debating and discussion.

Equality is important for overall growth of any organization. Every individual should have the right to express ideas. If we were to strive for realization of a society which only considers merit and not other parameters like gender, the efficiency of any work process, business would increase manifold with subsequent betterment of lifestyle.

If you have been looking for possible ways to rejuvenate your dying business while also getting some aid in generating thousands of dollars on a monthly basis, Vicki Irvin can help you realize your full potential and live your dreams and passion in ways much easier than you can think of so that you get to enjoy that superwoman lifestyle which you’ve always wanted.

The subject is how to make money in Florida. The easiest way is to buy some real estate and sit on it. When the real-estate market recovers, sell it. it is really a simple act of buy and wait. This is easier said than done, everyone realizes, yet with a little money and a patient attitude, this can become a very lucrative play.

The Florida real estate market has always been one where money was gained and lost. The real estate market is peppered with stories of massive gains and substantial losses.

The goal of the positive enrichment by means of money or fast-cash, is a reality in the state of Florida. With millions attempting to beat the real estate market and settle down into a beach-house and retire. The dream. Is this the dream in you’re head? In you’re heart? Then head south on 95 and do not look back.

Their are a few ways to make money in South Carolina. One way is to work. Work like you never have before, that will get a paycheck, albeit a little one, into the pocket and then all will be fair.

The other way is to create a company and use the flexible and almost non-existent tax system that the Confederates set up after the Civil War, and watch the money pile up. The Rebel army was defeated but in its place, and with the help of the victorious Northern army, reconstruction occurred.

The people of South Carolina realized a long time ago that their state, which was originally founded as a debtor colony, could be a virtual tax shelter of immense proportions. Even in today’s market, the evidence that South Carolina was given certain tax benefits that the other states knew nothing of unless they did some digging, is evident.

Adela writes about many topics related to businesses and financing. He teaches about various things including business, finance, and how to buy stock. You can also be taught other useful info on internet stock trading

One thing entrepreneurs have in common is the ability not to be stopped by problems, but to turn their problems into opportunities. Where other people get stuck in problems, entrepreneurs bounce back with new answers seeing a different way forward.

I once read an article on entrepreneurs in a South African magazine. The author explained some of the characteristics of an entrepreneur and then he relates a story told to him by an entrepreneur who was asked, “What makes entrepreneurs different than the rest of us?”

“Well”, the entrepreneur said,”when I think of entrepreneurs I think of a spider. I once saw a spider spinning his web. He would take a thread – stick it to one side and then walk with it to the other side of where he would like to make his web.

“When he came to the other side the thread broke and the spider had to walk back to the place where he first stuck his thread. He then stuck his thread to the place where it broke off and started walking back to where he wanted to stick the thread. And then, the same thing happened again. The thread broke. The spider went back to the same spot and stuck his thread back again from where it broke, just to start his journey all over again.

“This happened about eight times before the first thread was stuck from one side to the other. This, my friend”, the entrepreneur said, “is the hallmark of a successful entrepreneur. He is too stupid to give up. He doesn’t know any better but to persevere and hang in there until it succeeds. He is not demotivated by early failures, but he learns from them.”

Entrepreneurs have a “no die” attitude. They simply don’t give up when they start to encounter opposition, difficulties or closed doors. They know they have a race to run, until it is finished. I once heard a man said, “It’s finished”, only after he has completed his whole mission. Now that is a true entrepreneurial spirit. To understand that you will encounter difficulties, but to have an attitude that you will not, YOU WILL NOT give up until you can say, “Mission accomplished!”

Anyone that has been involved in SEO has heard Google can penalize you for having hidden text on your page, but when it comes down to it, it’s really not anything to be overly concerned with. Unless you are hiding in your alt tag images the words Viagra on the cheap or Texas hold em, you’re usually not going to have an issue with Google.

Find hidden things Google hates
An easy way to see if you have harmless CSS or any other disguised advertising is to use the Web Developer Toolbar for Firefox. Click CSS then Disable Styles then All Styles and you’ll see if you have hidden things the search engines (especially Google) doesn’t like you to have on your page. These are actually things Google could potentially ban your site for or even put your site in its sandbox.

Submit A Site Map
Submitting a site map is a great way to get some back links to your site, even though they come from your own website and not another site, Google will still display almost all of them in the back links check on Google.

To submit a site map, it must be in XML form. There are example forms on Google you can create if you have all your links together, just do a search for create free site map for Google.

To check your back links after you’ve submitted your site map, go to Google.com and type in link:yoursite.com replace your site with your actual site name. This will display around 1/10 of the actual back links you have to your site. Google displays the websites that are of more importance and the newest back links to your site, which is the top 10% of your back links. You will be able to find a list of all of your back links at Alexa.

Maintain Your Back Links
In order to maintain your page to be ranked high, make sure to keep a few different copies of your main index file to your site on hand and rotate those out twice a week. This keeps your site content fresh and new and Google will then crawl it more frequently as well. The second thing you need to do in order to maintain your rankings is submit new back links, text links every week, even if it’s only 5 or 6. But of course the more the better.

If you’re looking to gain more back links, make sure you don’t go with reciprocal linking. This went out around the turn of the century. Google is looking for naturally popular websites, not artificially popular sites that have been linked to reciprocally, it’s pretty obvious with that one. Google doesn’t even look at reciprocal linking anymore.

The Google PR Myth
Another thing many folks are still counting as utmost importance with Google is the Google PR of their site. I firmly do not believe in this tool for a percentage of websites anymore, it very much seems to be no longer accurate. Again, Google wants naturally popular websites, not sites that are trying to artificially inflate their Google PR with non-unique content article blasting or blog blasting software, etc.

How To Get Backlinks
Blog linking can be a great way to get back links, except that it’s very time consuming. Another way to get links is by article writing. If you’re good at writing and can come up with unique content, go for it.

The more interesting the article is, the more comments you will receive, the more comments you receive, the more importance Google will place on the article page and will then move your article up in rank, so make sure you choose an interesting topic to attract attention. Put your important search terms in the title and submit it to either egghead cafe (which by the way is offering cash for new unique articles submitted, if chosen to be displayed in their article directory) or Xomba.com.

Xomba is a PR 4 article directory which accepts most any articles, so you can rest assured this will rank fairly high, or at least get you a good amount of traffic on Google.

Even if you do not write an article about the products you sell or the services on your website, you can still write an article completely off topic to your website if that is what it takes to make your article interesting to readers and gain popularity. You can always put your link in the blurb and/or author info area at the bottom of each article you write.

Duplicate Content Articles Myth
Some SEO developers will tell you that article writing hasn’t been popular since 2005 and will not boost your rankings anymore on Google’s engine. This statement is actually only half true.

Duplicate content articles will not get your site ranked higher. The most common problem regarding article submission is duplicate content and Google duplicate content penalties. This can be avoided by simply using a unique content article submission wizard. An example is Unique Article Wizard.

This tool actually submits thousands of different articles over and above the one you have written to over 700 article websites in several categories which you choose. You will need to do a little work however writing different titles and three different ad copies, but the tool will actually change your blurb at the end or “about the author” with a find and replace feature built in to the submission area.

Writing even one article per week can get you 1400 back links to your site, as the submission tool will allow two text links in the blurb. You will then find hundreds of different articles with your website link on Google after a few days and you will see a change in your rankings, guaranteed.

“Congrats ma’am. It’s a commercial real estate developer”, I used to joke in a joking fashion, that the maternity medical staff must have told my dear late mother after giving birth to me.

I was the oldest male child in a third generation thriving real estate business in the Deep South. As it turned out, after trying it for four years in my early adulthood, real estate was not for me and I later discovered that big market media and public relations in wasn’t either.

A survival of the fittest environment of any type was not my thing. It took a major coronary to figure it out, but as they say it takes what it takes’. I was forced into early retirement…or so they thought.

The year 2001
I pinched my skin to discover I was still alive and having been the active person I perceived myself to be, started getting busy. Step one was to learn golf. That lasted about a month. One might think that since I grew up near Tiger Wood, perhaps by osmosis some of his golfing genius might have rubbed off. That was not the case. I spent more time in sand traps, pine tree-filled woods and shallow lakes than on the green grass. Mark Twain had been right. Golfing was a good walk gone bad.

I struggled seventeen years in the corporate world, and the longer I was there, the more I realized it was creating a sort of imbalance between who I really was, and what I was truly becoming. I did not like who or what I was becoming, that is, a person willing to give up my real friends in pursuit of keeping the bottom line black, and basically sell my soul all the while, growing tired of even the highest paying positions; some of them others would have run over me to sit in my corner office chair.

I remember one day sitting down with a piece of paper and writing out what an ideal life would be for me. I had read in a self-help book that the process of writing a dream or goal onto paper was/is actually the first step of action; that is bringing it from the subconscious into the universe. It sounded a little hokey to me but I was willing to do anything to have a life that made sense to me with at least some semblance of happiness.

The changes I had to make were made, but they came very slowly and not all at once. I found supportive friends and that meant having to let go of some old baggage; which at times, meant old friends as well.

I was determined at mid-life to have at least some happy years. In a little over a decade, one thing led to another.

Today I work at home, sometimes in my jammies if I wish. I work next to the one I love, my finance’ Lee. We run an SEO (search engine optimization) firm that is unique in that it offers not only organic SEO, but custom Twitter profiles and organic optimization for ones website or blog.

Google suddenly ranked
Yes, Google suddenly ranked my offbeat cartoon number one where it has stayed since 2005. I have launched at least ten E-stores full of funny gifts and collectibles bearing my cartoon images from tees to mugs and more. I closed a few that weren’t making money.

About half stayed open, but that was okay as I considered them an experiment anyway. I founded, design and create the world’s only famous love quote shoes that Keds manufacture for me. I have become the designer for Mariel Hemingway licensed image gifts and collectibles and she is a pleasure with which to work. All of these things have happened from the comfort of my own living room. Not a bad deal for a guy who thought he might spend the rest of a short life chasing golf balls in the woods.

Lee and I have met many amazing people through the Twitter network. I became officially adopted by someone I had always admired greatly, Kathy Ireland as her brother, and it is a closer kinship than any I’ve had with any of my blood siblings.

We talk, we laugh, and we tell stories and have fun. She is truly a decent wonderful kind soul. She is like a prayer answered as I always wanted a sister with whom I could communicate. Now it has come to be. She has another adopted brother Jon, and Jon and I are the brothers Kathy says she never had (she was raised with sisters but never had a brother). She is probably tougher than the two of us put together, but nicer than the day is long. She could cheer up Attilla The Hun.

Most importantly, also on Twitter, I met the love of my life. I met Lee of whom I had waited 54 years to meet. I had had several opportunities for marriage, and both did not pan out, I am sure now for a reason.

If either of them had, I would never have met Lee, and nothing and nobody in the world means more to me than Lee and my love relationship with her. We work together. We love our work and we work hard at it. We wear many hats. Lee is a graphic designer but she is also the love advice columnist at the Herald de Paris.

She did not know SEO when we started our SEO firm, but now knows it as well as any guru (we don’t use that word as we don’t believe it exists) of whom I’ve read their writings. Working with Lee is always a pleasure and feels more like fun than play. It reconfirms that Everything I ever needed to know, I really did learn in Kindergarten.

Though we work in a very complex business and world, we keep things very simple, and treat each other (and our clients) the way we wish to be treated. Our love grows stronger every day. As my friends remind me, I am a very lucky man. I love my work, and I love working with my lover.

How do you know whether you can be a successful entrepreneur, or if you are better off as a salaried employee? Everyone has bad days at work, when they start to fantasize about how great it would be to be their own boss.

But before you make any drastic moves, it is wise to do a bit of self reflection to determine if this is really something you’ll be naturally suited for. Although there isn’t a tried and true formula for success, studies have shown that successful entrepreneurs share many common characteristics.

Do you possess any of these personality traits? Many of them? If so, you may be a natural entrepreneur, a person who is inherently better suited for owning your own business than working for someone else.

Owning and running a business is a creative, challenging and highly rewarding way to become your own boss and chart your own future. It’s about creating and finding a better way to do things, offering customers a new choice that is of value to them. In addition to making your own living, it is also about providing opportunities to help others advance as well, whether it is through job creation or simply by hiring other contractor firms.

Ultimately you want to create a business that you run, instead of it running you, and hopefully it will make you a nice little fortune in the process. It takes courage, determination and foresight to decide to become an entrepreneur. Leaving the relatively safe corporate world, where paychecks arrive regularly, and benefits are guaranteed, you will be venturing into the uncharted territories of business and it can be a daunting adventure, but if you’ve got what it takes, it can be the best challenge you ever face.

I have met many people who have made this decision without really thinking through all of the long term implications or really what their long term goals are for the venture, and the ideal role that they would play in the company. I can tell you from experience that you will be able to achieve far greater results in your business more quickly if you take the time early on to determine what characteristics you possess that will be your entrepreneurial strengths and where any weaknesses may lie so you can be aware of them and hire and outsource to bolster them.

While there is no recipe for success, most successful entrepreneurs share many common characteristics. To determine whether you can be a successful entrepreneur, or if you are better off to work for somebody else, see if any of these sound like you:

1. Big dreams. To attain the kind of success that you want, you need to dream big. Every success story starts with big dreams. You don’t hear Oprah saying that she wanted to just pay the rent and get by. She had big dreams. If you’re going to be a successful entrepreneur you need to have big dreams for yourself.

Just making enough to pay the bills or getting a few customers is not enough of an aspiration to fuel you forward. Make no mistake; this journey will not be an easy haul, so you really need one heck of a carrot out there to motivate yourself to keep pushing. Similarly, success is not achieved in a vacuum; your dream needs to not only inspire you it needs to inspire others as well.

Your dream should be something that others will believe in, see as worthwhile and want to support. Your dream needs to include being wealthy or famous but it definitely should center on being fulfilled. Do not enter this race to be just another runner, but do not feel that you need to be the winner or else your efforts will be in vain.

Many small companies have done a great job at providing a unique value to a select niche market that has lead to great results for them. These companies have made an impact on targeted people and on businesses, communities or organizations. They didn’t just sell something; they made a difference, caused change, made things better, easier, faster, more effective or made something never possible before, possible.

2. Clarity and vision. You need to have a clear vision of what you want to achieve. Along with dreaming big you should actively visualize success in your mind so that you can almost feel it, touch it or see that it is within your reach. You should play this image back at every opportunity.

What does it feel to triple your current income? How will your life change? What will your business look like if you achieved the million-dollar mark? It is not enough to just think that you can wait and see what happens. You must be able to see what happens before it does happen, that is how you make it happen. Successful entrepreneurs possess an attitude of openness and faith that they can have what they want if they can simply envision it as the first step on the path of action to acquiring it.

3. Passion for what you do. As an entrepreneur you started a business to change your life, to create something better, something more. You saw a need, an opportunity. To attain this change successfully, you need to develop or uncover an intense, personal passion to change the way things are.

A passionate person lives life to the fullest, has a lot of energy to give, and their passion inspires others and that passion sells. It is not enough to just have a good product or service, you must have passion. Success comes easily if you have a great love of what you do. Why is that?

Because we are more relentless in our pursuit of goals about things that we love. If you hate your job right now, do you think you will ever be successful at it? Never. You may trudge along, even become competent at the tasks, but you will never be a great success at it.

You will achieve peak performance and do what you have to do to succeed only if you are doing something that interests you or something that you care deeply about. Entrepreneurs who succeed do not mind the fact that they are putting in 18 hours a day in their business because they absolutely love what they do and they believe in their mission.

4. Openness to new knowledge. You don’t need a degree in business to succeed at your own business. Studies show that most self-made millionaires have average intelligence. Nonetheless, these people reached their full potential and achieved their financial and personal goals in business because they were willing to learn.

To succeed, you must be willing to ask questions, remain curious and open to new knowledge. This willingness to learn becomes more crucial given the rapid changes in technologies and ways of doing business and those that are open to change based on knowledge are the ones that have the best chance of being successful. Become a student of business best practices.

You will want to learn about other businesses and strategies that have worked and see if you can adopt them to your business. Sticking with what you know because it’s all you know is never the best option. As soon as someone decides he knows it all, it is all over. There is a wealth of knowledge out there; those who find the knowledge that will best serve them and then put it to work are those who reap great rewards.

5. Health and high energy. I mentioned long hours before. It is not uncommon for entrepreneurs to put in two normal work days for every one weekday as well as spend time on the weekends in their business, especially in the first two years. In addition to mental dedication, this takes physical stamina as well. You need to be able to put this kind of extra stress on your body without it taking a toll on your health or on your personal life. Maintaining a healthy diet and exercise regime are highly recommended because they will strengthen your body and your mind to enable you to deal with this better.

Many successful entrepreneurs say that they don’t need very much sleep. They are fine with four or five hours a night and wake up full of energy. As a small business you are not going to have a huge marketing budget or the best of anything from a resource standpoint, so you need to make up for this lack with your high energy level. People love energetic people and they tend to make natural assumptions about their success level, their intelligence and their competence based on this energy.

6. Persistence and faith. The people who say that the road to success is easy are forgetting the drive it took to get them there. Even with all the hard work and good intentions imaginable many entrepreneurs will fail.

Some successful entrepreneurs suffered setbacks and defeats and even bankruptcy, but they managed to stand up again and make it big in their fields. The courage to persist in the face of adversity and ability to bounce back after a temporary disappointment will assure your success. An entrepreneur must learn how to pick up and start all over again. Persistence is the measure of the belief in yourself and if you persist you can succeed.

7. Discipline. Self-discipline is the key to success. You should be getting into work routines and forcing yourself to stick to those routines. If you are going to be a successful entrepreneur you have to have self-discipline. It cannot be a thing that you strive for and think about. It must be a part of who you are and how you operate. Going the extra mile for your business is not just a bonus it is a necessity for a successful business and successful entrepreneurs know it.

8. Self confidence and optimism. Successful entrepreneurs know that they are going to be successful. They refuse to have let the possibility of failure enter into their minds. They don’t see setbacks and think that they are on the road to closing their business and giving up.

As an entrepreneur, you need to fully believe in your goals, and that you can do it even in the face of adversity. You should have a strong conviction in your business, in your capabilities and in yourself. You must believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that you have the ability to succeed and not let that belief be shaken.

The more you can develop faith in your ability to achieve your goals, the more rapidly you can attain it. However, your confidence should be balanced with calculated risks that you need to take to achieve greater rewards. Blustering forward with full confidence but without thinking through all of the risks is not the mark of a successful entrepreneur. Successful entrepreneurs calculate risks and take setbacks as lessons learned that will not be repeated.

Becoming a successful entrepreneur is hard work. It takes time and effort and a certain drive, but it can be one of the most rewarding and best things you do in life. Achieving your long term business goals will require energy and endurance. Commitment is what will keep you on task and having a flourishing business is the end reward for that work.
