I gave up TV last year for Lent, and I can't believe the difference it has made in my life. Not only do I have more time to be better spent, I am much more realxed and peaceful without the constant noise and chatter of 24/7 media. I realized after about a week, that there was not much I would go out of my way to see, so why was I allowing myself to be hypnotized and immobilized by it for hours per week? What a waste!
