go to http://www.breadstreet.com they have thousands of private individual
investors as well as angel investor and venture capital groups that invest in start up or early stage companies . if you have never raised capital from private individuals before go to http://www.breadstreet.com/regdetail.htm and do some research

Well, the legitimate answer is \\"no, there are no legal sites that match entrepreneurs with investors\\" because the SEC as explicitly ruled that doing so violates SEC regulations. The one exception is ActiveCapital.org, a not-for-profit site that has an SEC no-action letter allowing them to do so. That said, their process is very complicated and non-trivial.

Your best bet (realistically) is likely to be working with a local organized group of angel investors in your area. You can find one that fits your needs at http://www.angelsoft.net, which is the web site used by virtually all of the world\\\’s professional angel groups.

Funding Universe (www.fundinguniverse.com) is a great one!

I’d never thought about this before, but it is a great idea for a website. Bringing together the people needed to turn such an idea into a business.
